This is a great time to be alive!  When it comes to marketing, they say more have changed and evolved in 6 years than it has over the past 60 years.  With that being said, we need to continually keep learning and updating our marketing strategies.  The really neat part about all of this is the low cost of social media marketing, if it’s done correctly.

So the big question is, “Where should I start?”  In my opinion, you should start by creating a Facebook page for your business and then try your best to direct all ads to your website.  Your website is your business card and can be tailored to show off all of your services and products like nothing else.

Facebook is now a part of most people’s lives.  You might show a picture of your house and maybe a neighbor recognizes driving past it everyday, but they don’t know the people inside or what their daily lives are like.  Facebook allows us to show others what is happening in our lives, and it bridges the distance between friends and family members that live next to each other, or maybe hundreds and thousands of miles apart.  The pictures, videos, and posts tell a story of that person and their family.

You can use your Facebook business page to do exactly that same thing.  Your website might be a window into your office and everything is placed just right, but your Facebook page can bring it all to life.  Daily you can post videos and images of what is happening in your office.  You can empower staff members to feel free to post pictures and videos and stories so others can feel like they are a part of your business family.

Once you start building your business “family” of followers who love to see what’s happening in the office, then you can build upon that with Facebook LIVE videos and standard videos that you “boost”.  Facebook now really encourages videos because most people would rather watch TV over a slide show.  As a business owner, I can tell you that boosting a video of mine for only $1 a day, got me over 8000 views!  One video that I boosted only costs me $0.02 per click!  My ads that are merely a picture might cost me $5 a click.  Video, folks, is the way to go!
